About TAEO
TAEO

Over 16 years of experience, now in every family’s pocket.

TAEO is an international psychoeducational organization devoted to neurodiversity. It supports autistic children and young people (ASD), as well as those with ADHD, Down syndrome, intellectual disability, language disorders, learning difficulties such as dyslexia and other neurodevelopmental disorders, and also those who, with no diagnosis at all, need support in some area of their development. Its programs focus on each person’s skills, beyond any diagnosis, which is why they serve all of them. For more than 16 years it has done so in its centers in Venezuela and Chile, alongside families and schools, and today it is also present in the United States. Its conviction is still a simple one: every child learns at their own pace, and the best place to learn is their own life.

Out of that journey comes TAEO | EdTech, its educational technology startup: an app that trains and guides the adult who is with a child every day (mother, father, grandparent, caregiver or therapist) to nurture their neurodevelopment at home, within the routines they already share. It does so through the principle that guides TAEO, directed neuroplasticity: the brain builds new connections through practice, especially in childhood, and every activity chosen for the right moment and repeated with care strengthens the areas of development that are still emerging. It shows them where each area of the child’s development stands, suggests activities from TAEO’s psychoeducational programs and teaches them, step by step, how to carry them out. The app provides the method; the adult, who knows the child best, accompanies, decides and leads every activity.

Who it’s for

For the adult who supports a child every day.

TAEO | EdTech is made for you. When you open the app, today’s activity is waiting for you, chosen by the Path. Before you start, it asks how you see the child right now; then you choose where to practice, check the materials, follow the steps, which you can also listen to, and when you finish you record with one tap how it went. The screen stays in your hands: they learn with you, within the routine you already share.

  • Mothers and fathers

To turn everyday life into learning opportunities, knowing what to do, how to do it and why it matters.

  • Grandparents, guardians and caregivers

For those who care for a child without being their parents and want to support their learning with the same clarity.

  • Therapists

To support the learner in your care with a plan based on their developmental profile, and to give continuity to the work you do together.

  • Implementers

For professionals and aides who apply the program with the child, with clear activities and steps for every session.

Why the app was born

One app, two purposes.

TAEO | EdTech was born to take TAEO’s work further, in two directions at once.

1TAEO
For families at TAEO centers

Learning that keeps growing at home

What your child works on at the center does not stay at the center. The app brings the activities into their everyday routines, like bath time, getting dressed or mealtime, so every day counts and their development goes as far as it can.

  • Activities born from the same TAEO programs they know from the center.
  • Ready to use at home, with everyday materials and clear steps.
  • More chances to practice, every day, alongside their family.
2TAEOEdTech
For families who cannot attend a physical location

TAEO | EdTech, within reach of every home

Because of distance, schedules or other reasons, many families cannot attend a physical TAEO location, and that should not leave them on their own. For them, the app brings TAEO’s same psychoeducational support home:

  • The backing of child development science, explained in simple words.
  • Activities from TAEO’s psychoeducational programs, designed for your home.
  • Real professionals who listen to you and guide you live.
  • The joy of seeing, achievement by achievement, how your child is growing.
Our approach

We understand how every child learns.

We want you to understand your child: what they can already do, what they are about to achieve and how to help them take the next step. We do it through education, not clinical care: TAEO | EdTech does not diagnose, treat or replace any health professional.

Skills, not labels

We look at what your child can already do and what they are about to achieve. We focus on their learning and on every step they take.

Families lead the way

You are with your child in every activity. The app guides you step by step so you know what to do, how to do it and why it matters. And you are never alone: the TAEO | EdTech team guides you and answers your questions inside the app.

Every child at their own pace

No races, no comparisons. The path adapts to your child and moves forward when they are ready.

For every child

Every child has their own path. TAEO | EdTech walks it with you.

All of us, children and adults alike, need some support to keep moving forward. That is why TAEO | EdTech is for every family: for the neurotypical child who is learning to wait their turn or get dressed on their own, and also for the autistic child, the child with ADHD or the child with Down syndrome. Here we don’t start from a label: we start from what your child can already do and what they are ready to learn.

  • Neurotypical
  • Autistic
  • ADHD
  • Down syndrome
  • No diagnosis
  • And many more
1

Strengthen what they already have

Every child comes with their own skills. We show you what they are and how to keep building on them every day.

2

Develop what is still hard for them

We identify where they need more support and teach you, step by step, how to guide them so they move forward at their own pace.

3

Walk with you through the process

We don’t leave you alone with a to-do list: the TAEO | EdTech team supports you with live sessions, continuous learning and a path that adjusts with every achievement.

How it works

Everything the app does, step by step.

Four steps are at the heart of TAEO | EdTech: getting to know the child, placing their development in each area, mapping their Path and practicing every day.

  1. 1
    The assessment

A conversation that adapts to the child

You answer simple questions about what the child does every day: how they communicate, play, get dressed and get along with others. Behind that simplicity is the CAT, TAEO’s adaptive assessment, careful work that explores all eight areas of development and, within each one, its different skills, to pinpoint, stage by stage, where each part of their learning stands.

    • It starts from their age: the first questions match what is expected at their age and, from there, the journey moves up or down depending on what the child is already able to achieve.
    • Each answer decides the next one: if they already do it on their own, we move ahead; if they are still learning it, we pause there to understand it better. So instead of a long questionnaire that is the same for everyone, the conversation goes straight to what we need to know about them.
    • It spots what is in progress: besides telling us whether they have mastered it or you haven’t seen it yet, you can tell us it is in progress or just beginning, and each option comes with a description written for that question. That way the app recognizes every skill in progress, right where the child can grow the most.
    • Just the right questions, no more: if they already do something more complex, we do not ask about the simpler steps that come before it; and if an answer leaves doubts, one more question helps us confirm it.
    • At your own pace: each question comes with tips and examples to check it at home. There is no time limit and, between one area and the next, you can take a break and continue another day without losing your progress.

When you finish, the app lets you know their Matrix is ready: a faithful picture of where they are, with no tests and no pressure.

  2. 2
    The Matrix

The Matrix: understanding where they are in each area

From your answers, the app draws the Matrix: one bar for each area that shows you, at a single glance, the child’s developmental level. You discover where they are on track with what is expected for their age and where a little more support would help. Tap an area to see each of its skills and stages, and the Matrix shows you where to start: their main focus. From there, one tap takes you to their activities on the Path. Doubts give way to a clear starting point.

  3. 3
    The Path

The Path: their activities grow out of the Matrix

The Path grows out of the Matrix: the child’s own route of activities, organized by area. The app chooses for them the ones that match what they are learning right now, not before and not after, so every effort is worth it. In each area you see the activity they are working on, the ones they have achieved and the ones that will open when the time is right for their age. All of them come from TAEO’s psychoeducational programs, the same ones our team has shared with families for more than 16 years. And every time they master one, the Path moves forward with them and suggests the next.

That is Directed Neuroplasticity: experiences chosen for each child, at the right moment in their learning.

  4. 4
    The activities

Every activity, at the right moment

When you open the app, today’s activity is waiting for you. It tells you what you are going to build together and guides you through every part: an illustration of the scene, the list of household materials you check off as you get them ready, the steps one by one, which you can also listen to at the speed you prefer, printable material when needed and a timer. And the app takes care of three details that make the difference:

    • First, their regulation state: before you start, it asks how you see the child right now. If they are calm and connected, practice opens up; if they are restless or overwhelmed, the app does not push and first suggests helping them calm down. And if they are having a meltdown, it pauses learning, keeps their progress and offers you a conversation with the specialist, because your relationship comes before any task.
    • Different practice settings: you choose where to practice from different settings, and the app points out the recommended one. The skill stays the same and the context changes, so the child can use it anywhere, not only where they learned it.
    • Every try counts: when you finish, you record with one tap how it went: it didn’t happen today, it is in progress, it is being consolidated or they did it on their own. When they do it on their own three times, the skill is theirs and the app celebrates with you: milestone consolidated! And if it didn’t happen today, that’s okay: their progress is kept so you can try again another day.

CAT Summary

The report of their assessment, as a PDF you download from your profile: it shows how the child is doing in each area and what they have achieved at each stage. It helps you explain clearly who the child is and talk with the school and the professionals who support them. It is not a diagnosis, because it neither names nor rules out any condition: it is a guide to decide together where to go next.

Learning in naturalistic settings

Everyday life is the best classroom.

Learning in naturalistic settings starts from a simple and powerful idea: children learn best where they live, with the people they love and in the moments that are already part of their day. Instead of taking children out of their world to teach them, TAEO | EdTech brings learning into their world. Bath time, getting dressed, cooking or setting the table become real opportunities to learn.

How a child learns in their natural setting

  1. In the places where they live

Home, their grandparents’ house, the park or the grocery store. Learning happens in spaces the child knows and where they feel safe.

  2. Within their routines

Eating, bathing, tidying up or playing. Every routine brings opportunities that repeat each day, without adding extra hours to the family schedule.

  3. Starting from what interests them

What motivates the child is the starting point. When learning is part of something they enjoy, they take part more eagerly and for longer.

  4. Hand in hand with those who love them

Mothers, fathers, grandparents and siblings are the best guides. Their closeness and the way they talk to the child give every achievement meaning.

What is learned in real life is used in real life.

When a skill is born in an everyday situation, the child does not have to carry it over into daily life later: it already lives there. That is why TAEO | EdTech activities need no special materials; the objects and moments of your own home are enough. Each activity comes with an illustration, a simple explanation and the steps to guide your child.

You are never alone
100% human

An app that values human connection.

We believe no child learns alone and no family should feel alone. That is why, at TAEO | EdTech, technology organizes and structures, but supporting families is a job for people: those who answer your questions and guide you along your child’s path are a multidisciplinary team of psychoeducation specialists, psychologists, speech therapists and occupational therapists. They do not diagnose: they guide and advise you so you know how to support your child’s learning day to day. And they are 100% human: behind every answer there is a person who listens to you, never an artificial intelligence.

Live sessions with the TAEO | EdTech team

Supporting your child’s learning brings questions, and you don’t have to answer them alone. Inside the app, the TAEO | EdTech team broadcasts live sessions: a professional on duty, who may be a psychoeducation specialist, a psychologist, a speech therapist or an occupational therapist, answers families’ questions live. Whenever something worries you or you are unsure how to continue with an activity, you choose which area your question is about, write it in the chat and watch your turn in the queue until it goes on air. Because questions are visible to the group, the chat becomes a shared learning space: each family’s questions become answers for everyone, and that is how we grow together.

TAEO | EdTech Academy: continuous learning inside the app

The TAEO | EdTech Academy is your space for continuous learning: short readings designed for mothers, fathers and everyone who supports a child day to day, organized by topic. The app suggests what to read next and remembers what you have already read. There you will find what you need to know to help them move forward where things are harder and to strengthen what they already do well. Every reading gives you more clarity and more confidence, so that each day you know better how to support them, and you watch them grow alongside you.

Trust

Your family’s information, protected.

Only for your family

What you share about your child is seen by you, when you sign in to your account, and by the professionals who support you. Nothing in the app is public.

Your data is yours

Your child’s information is used only to support their learning. We never sell it or share it with advertisers.

Caring for children from the start

We protect their information with the same care you give them: every part of TAEO | EdTech is built with their privacy in mind first.

Who we are

Behind the app, people who have supported families for years.

TAEO brings together professionals from different child development disciplines who share one conviction: every child can move forward when someone who understands them is by their side. In Venezuela and Chile, its centers support children, families and schools in person. The United States is home to TAEO | EdTech, the organization’s startup, created to bring that support to families in any country, including those who are already part of the TAEO centers’ community.

The goal

Every activity, a step toward their full independence.

What we are after is simple and, at the same time, huge: that every day they can do a little more on their own, in their own life. Big changes are built from small, repeated practice, hundreds of routines lived with intention and at their own pace. Over time, this is what grows:

  • More independence

Getting dressed, eating or washing up with less and less help. Small victories that change daily life for the whole household.

  • More ways to communicate

Expressing what they want, feel and need, through words, gestures or visual supports. Every way of communicating counts.

  • More calm to learn

Every activity starts with how they feel. That way they learn calmly, and you learn to read their signals.

  • Stronger bonds

Playing, sharing, waiting their turn and connecting with family, classmates and school.

  • Self-confidence

Every consolidated milestone is an experience of success. Over time, that “I can” becomes part of who they are.

  • A calmer home

Routines become moments of connection, and daily life flows more peacefully for everyone.

And you grow too

With every activity you understand better how they learn and discover, on your own, opportunities at bath time, mealtime or play. That knowledge stays with you for good: you become the person who knows best how to support them.

Every child moves forward at their own pace and along their own path. What counts is every step, celebrated without comparisons.

Every day together is a chance to learn. Start today.

You create your account, introduce us to the child you support and answer a few simple questions about their daily life. When you finish, their Matrix is ready and their first activity is waiting: starting today you will understand them better and know how to help them in the moments you already share. The app is currently available in Spanish.
